Star Conflict 1.6.5: A New Threat

An urgent message from UMC! Attention to all pilots in the fringe sectors! Aliens dealt an insidious blow to key locations. They have taken control of several zones. We are sure that this is only the beginning of a new Invasion. We urge all pilots to fight off the common enemy.

“A New Threat”

  • Aliens are planning a large-scale offensive, Alien base ships may be detected in the systems of the “Open Space” mode. Using them as outposts, they prepare attacks on locations. If they take over the systems — Star Conflict's usual way of things will cease to exist — there will no longer be any resources available. If the pilots cannot recapture the enemy’s locations, after some time the Aliens will begin to capture neighbouring systems.

  • Many portals are opening in the Abandoned complex, the Collapsed laboratory and the Northern Mining Station, presumably for the Alien invasion.

  • If Aliens capture the location, then the usual Open Space life on the map ends

  • If Aliens completely capture the location, it will not be available for Sector Conquest

  • In order to prevent Aliens from capturing the neighbouring locations, mercenaries need to fight back by completing special tasks.

  • An additional pilot leaderboard for “A New Threat” has appeared. In order to rise in the leaderboard, you need to complete tasks during the event.

The fate of humanity and the outcome of the war with Aliens depends only on the pilots. We urge players of all levels and ranks to fight back against the aliens. The UMC promises to reward everyone for taking part in battles!

The Destroyer

Pilots! The UMC reports that the Destroyer of incredible power was seen in Open Space!

Traces of its appearance were found in various locations, so be careful during long flights.

  • The Destroyer appears in a random location.

  • The appearance of the Destroyer is reported in a notification at the location where it appeared.

  • It may take several hours to destroy the Destroyer.

  • The Destroyer has a single durability bar for all locations.

  • As a reward for the destruction of the Destroyer pilots will get exceptional Seed-chips.

We must all defend our world!

Seed-chips

Pilots! UMC published the first data on the so-called “Seed-chips”, which have recently been used by mercenaries to improve their ships.

Judging by intelligence data, the first Seed-chips appeared when access to the Artuga system was opened. Enclave pirates distribute their products to mercenaries using covert delivery routes.

Studies in UMC laboratories have shown that Seed-chips change the key characteristics of ship modules in a special way. Each Seed-chip is unique and influences changes in its own way. The special technology of merging Seed-chips allows pilots to obtain Seed-chips with better characteristics.

Sources and production technologies of Seed-chips are still not clear, therefore their use is allowed only in battles against AI, in PvE missions and Open Space. Pilots should install pirate technology at their own risk!

  • Seed-chips are new modules with random parameters and random characteristics that improve weapons and damage abilities of the ship.

  • Seed-chips can be combined to get stronger chips.

  • Up to five Seed-chips can be installed on a ship.

  • Seed-chips can be found in Open Space after the destruction of Pirate Destroyers.

Federation engineering frigate “Hammerhead”

The latest engineering ship of the Federation, the blueprints of which the Armada handed over to mercenaries. One of the best frigates of the new era.

Special module: Autonomous battle station

Places an autonomous battle station, which allows for upgrades. The upgrade option can be selected by repeatedly pressing the activation button during the upgrade process. The energy of the host is used to repair the station.

Basic equipment:

  • Kinetic weapon:

Level 1. Missile weapons

Selecting any option activates the missile turrets of the station.

  • Option 1. Thermal rockets
  • Option 2. EM rockets

Level 2. Ally support

  • Option 1. The station produces nanodrones, which restore hull points upon activation. Both allies and the station's owner can activate them. The more drones are produced, the more hull points they will restore.
  • Option 2. The station launches combat drones. By staying close to the station, allies can take control of the drone by pressing the interaction button.
  • Option 3. The station launches delivery drones. Each drone restores the hull of the most damaged allied ship within the range of the station, then goes into target protection mode.

Kinetic weapon: Drone operator “RepK-2”

  • Attacks the enemy with unguided nanodrones. After a critical hit, nanodrones create a repair kit that restores hull points for allies.

Active module: Mobile barrier

Creates a large mobile shield around the ship, which increases its speed. Activating modules, shooting and taking damage interrupts the speed bonus. The shield blocks incoming damage and increases hull and shield damage resistance for those allies who take cover behind it.

Active module: Mobile portal

Creates two connected portals between which all ships, both allied and hostile, can move.

Federation interceptor “Marten”

A Sci-Tech Universal interceptor, created in the laboratories of the Artuga system. At the moment, Marten is their main achievement in the field of military equipment.

Special module “Wormhole Stabilizer”

It connects two points in space with a wormhole, that can be traversed in either direction. Passing through the wormhole has a cooldown. The passage is not available for other ships.

Weapon “Echo cannon”

Type: EM weapon

It emits electromagnetic waves. When it hits an enemy, the wave returns, boosting the attack when it is absorbed by the ship’s hull. The backward wave does no damage.

Active module “Comms decoder”

Discloses the location of all allies of the selected target. Slows hull regeneration of enemy ships.

Control and management system

  • A special part of the Marten and Hammerhead ships.

  • Designed to limit the robotic systems of ships.

  • It takes 10 parts to produce one ship.

  • You can get it as a reward in the stages of the “New Foundation” or buy it from other pilots.

New Brawl “Beetle in the Anthill”

Want to try and fight on the side of Aliens? You can do that! An experimental brawl “Beetle in the Anthill” is now available.

The brawl is available during the holidays on the following days: Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday.

  • Choose an alien ship to your taste: a heavy destroyer, a fast interceptor, a strong fighter or a durable frigate and fight alone against other pilots on ordinary ships!

  • The player on the Alien ship must destroy the energy generator of the anomaly, or defeat all opponents.

  • The anomaly generator is protected by a shield. The only way to get to the generator is to destroy 2 other generators feeding this shield.

  • Other players must prevent the generator from being destroyed. You need to destroy the player on the Alien ship or hold out for 10 minutes.

  • None of the players can respawn. Ships are selected once per battle.

  • Players on ordinary ships do not know which Alien ship was selected before encountering it in battle.

New locations in the “Open Space” mode

War is war, but research never stops. Locations that were previously only available for PvP battles can now be explored by any pilot in open space.

  • “Depot 15”
  • “Omega station”
  • Proving ground ‘Nova-17’
  • “Pilgrim-11”
  • “Leviathan. Catacombs”
  • Base “Huron”
  • Terminal D
  • Temple of Last Hope

New PvP locations

Scientists have provided access to new locations in the Artuga system — the den of space bandits. At the moment the new locations are available only in PvP mode

  • Northern berth
  • Captain Kidd's anchorage
  • Skeleton island
  • Spyglass
  • Foul ground
  • Stockade

Open space

Mineral mining

Lovers of peaceful exploration of space can now mine minerals from asteroids.

  • Now you can drill asteroids in search of valuable resources.

  • A suitable asteroid can be found with the help of a “spatial scanner”.

  • To extract resources, an asteroid must be destroyed. Any weapon/equipment capable of dealing damage will work.

  • While dealing damage, you will see the asteroid's temperature. The higher the temperature at the time of destruction, the more valuable resources can be extracted. If the temperature reaches 100%, the asteroid will collapse, but valuable resources will become inaccessible due to overheating.

Pirate Destroyers

  • Special pirate destroyers were detected in Open Space. Faction officers urge mercenaries to destroy this threat.

  • In return for destroying the Pirate Destroyers, players will get good and rare Seed-chips.

  • Destroyers appear in random locations at random times.

New gameplay “Racing in Open Space”

Rumour has it that illegal races have appeared in the open spaces. Become the fastest pilot! No shooting, only speed.

  • Races are held within one location.

  • Races start with intervals.

  • The pilot must arrive at the start area.

  • The race track is marked with rings.

  • You can't skip rings.

  • The first pilot to get through the ring gets a point.

  • The pilot with the most points wins.

  • “Racing” locations on the map are marked with a special symbol.

Other improvements in Open Space

Improved “Aggressor” mechanics for ship collisions.

  • A hit from a ship, accelerated by teleportation, or other means of rapid movement is considered an attack and leads to the assignment of aggressor status.

  • If a normal encounter with damage below a threshold value occurs, no one gets the status of the aggressor.

  • If a normal collision occurred, the aggressor is the ship whose velocity vector is directed at another ship.

  • If the ship's velocity vectors are directed at each other, both become aggressors.

  • If there was a head-on collision with the aggressor, the second ship does not become the aggressor.

Improved police behaviour.

Vior system moved closer to Federation area.

“New Foundation” event

It seems that the Artuga system is the only place in the fringe sectors that's inaccessible to Aliens. The leadership of the Empire, the Federation and Jericho are trying to gain a foothold in the system and establish their new settlements there.

In honour of the 2700th birthday of the writer Isaac Asimov, all pilots can participate in a special event — “New Foundation”! The event consists of 40 stages. Only the owners of a special pass can unlock all stages. But every third and last stage is available to all pilots.

To get the reward, you need to unlock the desired stage. In order to gain access to the next reward, you need to go through all the previous stages.

The operation will begin on December 19 and will last until January 29. During the entire period, all pilots will be able to earn special Xenochip game currency in battle.

  • Xenochips can be obtained for completing any tasks as an additional reward.

  • Xenochips are added to the game for a limited time, and after the end of the event, they will be withdrawn from the game and from the accounts of all pilots. Make sure to spend your xenochips before the end of the event!

  • Xenochips can be spent on special rewards during the event.
