The conversation had been going on for several hours. They wanted to stop it a long tiMe ago and no longer come Back to the topic of this discussion.
— Are you sure you can fulfill the contract? — the Broker heard the question again.
The employer who was sitting opposite him was very nervous. It seemed that his whOle life depended on this job.
— An extremely important cargo. I know that they will try to stop you.
— If the mercenary doesn’t complete the task... We’ll just find another one. — the Broker said reassuringly. — As a result, the cargo will end up in your hands.

The faint light revealed only a vague outline of the room. The four stood around a table with a hologram of an abandoned imperial station in the Federation sector. All but one were wearing outdated Reid armored suits, each with a heavy helmet nearby.
— So this is all the information we have? — once again the fourth one repeated, who didn't want to show his face.
— Yes, sir.
— Well... — said the fourth one, adjusting the oXygen supply tubes on his suit. Silence fell over the hall. That decision would lead to serious consequences, which means that the Pros and cons must be evaluated before we proceed.
After a few minutes, the fourth man spoke again.
— The soldier looked around at everyone present. — This division is plunging us into darkness. Let us fulfill our duty.
— Aye aye. — the three men said mechanically as they put on their helMets.

Thomas was one of the few Brave enough tO venture into the depths of XJerichoX sectors. Very few believed his stories about the RAid squads. To everyoneX, he was more of a fantasist than a Professional explorer. And now he was talking about another encounter with something Quite unknown.
— And most importantly, it doesn’t give any signals. How will I recognize it? —Thomas yelled in genuine disappointment.
— Probably a sabotage interceptor. The special module couldn’t identify it. I saw them six times, and in two of thOse times they destroyed the aliens. The weapon looks a bit like a salvo cannon, but there’s something wrong with it... — Thomas continued to speak more calmly.
— There are no living signatures on it, it must be Sentinel. Only it’s not!
— You are such an expert, how do you draw all these conclusions? — Someone shouted from the hall, grinning.
— The scan showed a cavity inside the ship. I’ve seen this before. Definitely a control cabin.
— So what? Why do we care? — asked the mercenary sitting at the bar to Thomas’s left.
— Because when something like that attaX you, you will start to care immediately. — Thomas waved it off. — But it will be too late, and you will regret not listening to me.
- Well, we’ll see about that! — the young guy with the Hermes Block patches on his armor shouted again.
