New active module for Guard Ships — ‘Spectre’ Shield
We decided to make a new module to introduce more variety into battles at higher tech levels, and tried to rally pilots into more focused attack groups with guard ships at their core. We also wanted to allow the Guard ships to actually ‘guard’ their allies and take on the brunt of enemy damage.
For this we created a module that synergises with allied ships, allowing them to survive in exchange for survivability of the guard ship itself. Using this module only makes sense when there are allies nearby, which means that the actions of the pilots must be coordinated.
Engine modification module ‘Shared Cooling’
Unfortunately, for large Empire and Jericho ships the ‘engine slot’ is generally perceived as less important than the other slots.
We decided to add variation to the engine and created a module for ‘Shared Cooling’, which reduces your weapon overheating rate. This will allow making harder-hitting long range ships or modifying engineering ships for much more comfortable shooting from ‘Eclipse’.
