Star Conflict 1.14.03 Galactic crossroads. Stage two

In early 4624, Blackwood corporation acquired the assets of Aurora, a small Imperial company specializing in the development of interfaces for military spacecraft. After that, Blackwood bought four more companies that manufactured and designed various components for spacecraft support systems. All of these cases were notable in that the companies were close to bankruptcy due to large contract penalties, which meant that the cost of Blackwood’s acquisitions was at a record low.
Six months later, Blackwood opened a new research department based on the acquired data. One of the company’s key features, the highly developed Ariadne AI, participated in the development of the first ship designed by this department. As a result of the hard work of Blackwood employees and AI, the “Saturn” destroyer was developed in just one year, with the latest version of the Ariadne on-board assistant supplied with the ship.

Unique rank 9 - 15 suppression destroyer “Saturn”
As a result of the hard work of Blackwood employees and AI, the Saturn destroyer was developed in just one year, with the latest version of the Ariadne on-board assistant supplied with the ship.
At first glance, the design of the destroyer looks unusual, especially the additional units installation system, which involves mounting additional “rings” on the ship. If you ask the onboard assistant about the ship’s name, the answer will be, “The destroyer is named after the Roman god, not after the planet, as one might think because of the rings.”
The ship became publicly known in 4625, when Blackwood showed a video of the destroyer’s battle with a Crystallid predator. In the video, Saturn successfully destroyed the predator and did not suffer any serious damage. Despite the possibility of Ariadne’s deep integration into the ship’s systems, Blackwood stated that it would not give artificial intelligence complete control of the ship. It is telling that Ironside ordered a number of Saturn ships for his personal guard.
“Saturn’s sickle” weapon
- Chargeable weapon. An uncharged shot fires a plasma rocket that explodes upon contact with the enemy. A charged shot fires a large-diameter, slow-moving plasma ball that hits all targets in its path.
The ship has three unique special modules that are unlocked as the ship’s nodes are unlocked:
“Saturn” weapon booster
- As damage is dealt, accumulates a charge that increases damage and the resistance of shields and hull. Upon activation, consumes all charges, increasing weapon damage for a period of time.
“Saturn” module booster
- As damage is dealt, accumulates a charge that increases damage and the resistance of shields and hull. Upon activation, consumes all charges, increasing modules damage for a period of time.
“Saturn” defence system
- As damage is dealt, accumulates a charge that increases damage and the resistance of shields and hull. Upon activation, consumes all charges, creating a defence zone around the ship that deals kinetic damage to all enemies within it.
“Black cube” active module
- Launches a mine that explodes after a period of time. The explosion leaves behind a cloud of electronic interference in which enemy ships cannot use their modules or radars. The cloud shrinks over time until it disappears.
“Nanobots coating” hull modifier
- Restores the ship’s hull while it is not firing or using modules.
“Excess energy recuperator” engine modifier
- Increases flight speed and turning speed. Upon activation, the modifier’s effect is increased for a short time.
New weapons by the “Atlas” Weapon Factories

“Atlas” is a new corporation that recently entered the weapons market. The line of exclusive arms it presented has shown itself perfectly in battle, having different capabilities from the standard weapon modifications. There is some reason to believe that the corporation uses mostly basic civilian components to assemble the weapons, achieving high performance with a few high-tech parts. Some speculate about the corporation’s connection to a civilian company that existed on Earth at the time of the Invasion. Since the fate of Earth is not fully known at this point, there can be no evidence of such a connection.
The “Galactic crossroads” pass has three brand-new weapons for you:
- Electromagnetic weapon: Plasma gun “Carpus” — Available to all interceptors. A weapon with low rate of fire and missile speed. Fires plasma balls that slightly veer towards their target.
- Kinetic weapon: Railgun “Aura” — Available to all frigates. Chargeable weapon with medium rate of fire. A charged shot is very fast and deals 50% more damage. Any hit from this weapon deals an additional 2500 damage to interceptors.
- Thermal weapon: Blaster “Ventus” — Available to all fighters. Medium thermal weapon. Hitting an enemy reduces its rate of fire by 50%.
